February's Favorite Oil

Hi friends!

I’m a little late getting this out, but better late than never right?! I know y’all will forgive me 🙂

We have had a crazy start to February with work, family things we need to think about and take care of, and just the business of everyday life. It’s hard to feel caught up sometimes, or like we are ever going to get a break where things feel settled. I bet most of you can relate to that can’t you?

I wanted to talk about something this month that may be sensitive for some people. That people can sometimes be ashamed of or hide from others. Something that some people judge others for doing.

And that’s therapy.

I started seeing a counselor two years ago. When I was having a really hard time coping with recovering from surgery and ultimately the fact that…I couldn’t have babies anymore. I wish someone would have warned me ahead of time that I may have a strong emotional reaction to this fact. That just hearing an infant crying would bring me to tears. every. single. time. It took me a long time to consider therapy. I thought I could handle it on my own. I didn’t think I needed help. I am a strong woman who learned to be tough at a young age. I could handle all of these overwhelming feelings couldn’t I?!

No, I couldn’t.

So, I started to see someone that I thought could help me work through these feelings. And boy did she ever. I have worked through more pain in these past two years than I have my entire life. My therapist is a goddess among women. I will forever be grateful for her. And we are still working through some very deep seeded pain and habits that have harmed me and my relationships for my entire life. And I had no idea until recently. Until we talked. She will, most literally, save my life. She will help bring me to a place where I can find peace. And friends, isn’t that living?!

When I was thinking about what oil to choose for this month, I thought long and hard about what I wanted my message to be for February and what others might be feeling this month. I ultimately settled on White Angelica. This friends, is a blend of 10 different oils that, in my humble opinion, is stronger than I ever thought an oil could be.

This blend is really some of my all time favorite oils. White Angelica is made up of:

  • Bergamot
  • Geranium
  • Myrrh
  • Sacred Sandalwood
  • Ylang Ylang
  • Northern Lights Black Spruce
  • Hyssop
  • Melissa
  • Rose
  • Coriander

These oils are really pretty on their own, but when mixed together, they create a powerhouse of support. Whether diffused or worn, White Angelica promotes positivity and can help inspire feelings of security and optimism. I have leaned on this oil many times. When I started therapy, when I’ve had strong feelings, when I feel down, and even when things feel relatively calm. I use it because it smells amazing, makes me happy and supports me no matter what is happening. Plain and simple.

If you’ve been with us a while you have seen our post about an emotions roller. It contains White Angelica, and friends, I reach for it constantly! Before bed, if I am feeling weighed down from my day, I roll it on. In the morning if I am feeling anxious about the day ahead, I roll it on. I roll this amazing little blend on all. the. time.

Friends, whether you use White Angelica topically, or in your diffuser, I have so much confidence that you will just love it. It is such a beautiful oil to have in your collection.

Let us know how you use White Angelica!
