My name is Stephanie and I live in the beautiful (but slightly warm) American Southwest. My husband W and I have been together for 15 years and for now, it’s just us two (points if you get the reference). We live a simple, but busy, life. I feel like I’m always waiting for the next week to catch my breath and something inevitably seems to come up that leaves me panting.
W and I love to cook, snuggle and watch movies, travel, spend time with family and friends, and keep our house as clean and healthy as possible. Today, we do that with essential oils. In the past we used products that claimed to be clean, but really ended up being pretty bad for us. I have had a complicated past in regards to my health. To get really real for a second, my reproductive system and I didn’t always get along. I struggled with ovarian cysts for years, stopping me from socializing, jogging, going out with my husband…stopping me from really anything I loved to do. Then I had surgery on my uterus that took 8 months to recover from, which included intense physical therapy for the scar tissue that decided to call my abdomen home. I became insulin resistant, had symptoms of PCOS, PBCS, was gaining weight like it was my full-time job, and couldn’t find the energy to do anything, even the things I loved.
Having grown up in a semi-naturopathic home, I wanted to turn to nature to help the chaos that ensued inside of my body. And let me tell you, it has been a looooooong road. My surgery was over two years ago, and I am still adjusting and learning new things. This small space on the internet will be an honest place, a place to share our journeys, to learn from one another and to try to navigate life, which sometimes seems like an impossible task. Essential oils have played a huge part in that navigation; along with cycle syncing, lots of reading, learning from other super intelligent, confident women, and trial and error.
I am not a medical professional, and won’t ever claim to be. These thoughts are solely my own, so please take them with a grain of salt. We. Are. All. Different. Which ultimately makes life beautiful. So, please consult a professional if you have any questions regarding your own health history, since it is unique. If you do try some of the things on this site and decide it isn’t for you, that’s okay! I encourage you to do your own research and find what works for you…and then share it! You never know who may benefit from your journey.
We will also feature non-essential oil related posts. Essential oils aren’t our entire life. But, they are a big part. We try our best to live a clean, healthy, natural lifestyle. We will post recipes, our travels and anything else that pops into our minds 🙂 so stay tuned!
I hope you love what you read. Please comment and share in positive, up building conversations. No judging here!
