I Got My Premium Starter Kit…Now What?

Hello friends!!

I’m so happy you have your starter kit and are ready to jump into the oily world! One of the first things to decide on is where to keep your diffuser. Are you wanting to freshen up your kitchen? Relax in your living room with your family after a long day? Maybe need some sleep support for you or your kiddos in the bedroom at night? Wherever you decide to keep it, I almost guarantee that after you use it for a bit, you’ll be buying more diffusers for your other rooms.

Okay, we have the diffuser set up. What should we diffuse first? Here are some combos from your PSK that will get you started…

Sweet Dreams: 3 drops Lavender + 2 drops Frankincense

Immune Support: 2 drops Thieves + 3 drops Lemon + 1 drop Raven

Wake Up: 4 drops Lemon + 2 drops Peppermint

Unwind: 4 drops Stress Away + 4 drops Lavender

Clean Home: 3 drops Citrus Fresh + 2 drops Lemon

Bravery, Courage and Calm: 4 drops Valor + 2 drops Peace and Calming

The most important thing to remember when trying out essential oils is……play around!! Try different blends. Mix different oils together. Diffuse what smells good to you! Some of the best blends are made by being spontaneous and trying different things! Don’t be afraid to mess it up, you won’t, I promise.

The two oils left in your starter kit will be Panaway and DiGize Vitality. Panaway is great for tired muscles or a quick pick me up. Mix one drop of Panaway (remember, a little goes a long way when it comes to essential oils) with 4 drops of a carrier oil (Young Living V-6, Fractionated Coconut Oil, or whatever oil your family likes best) and rub where needed. Or, make a warm bath with Epsom salts and 8-10 drops of Panaway and soak your troubles away! DiGize Vitality gives your digestive system support and is really one that turns people on to essential oils because it works so well. You can use it lots of way…in a capsule with a little oil, mixed with water and Peppermint or Lemon Vitality for a zingy little drink, mixed with hot water and honey for a soothing tummy tea, or rub right onto your stomach! Trust me, try it when you or a loved one needs some tummy support…you will be amazed!

“I got the Military/International Premium Starter Kit and have some different oils.”

If you went with the Military or International Premium Starter Kit, you’ll see a few different oils. Let’s go over them quick and set you up with a few blends. If you didn’t pick these oils up, keep reading. You might find one that you want to add to next months Essential Rewards order because, come on, they are all amazing!

Cedarwood: known for it’s relaxing properties, Cedarwood can be added to your daily lotion for relaxation. Cedarwood can also be warmed in the palms of your hands and massaged onto your scalp for healthy-looking hair. A great bed-time diffuser blend would be 3 drops Cedarwood + 3 drops Lavender. You’ll be off into dream land before you know it!

AromaEase: this essential oil is minty fresh!! It is a nausea killer containing Ginger and Peppermint. Mix a couple drops with a carrier oil and rub right onto your stomach. You can also diffuse it on its own, or add 2 drops AromaEase + 3 drops Lavender for an relaxing blend.

Purification: this. is. a. powerhouse. Purification has some amazing antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal and sanitizing properties. It purifies and cleanses bacteria in the air, as well as strong fragrances that you’d normally have a hard time getting rid of. We add a couple of drops to a cotton ball and put it in the bottom of our trash cans. It neutralizes those musky odors almost instantly. To diffuse, add 2 drops Purification + 3 drops Lemon and breathe in the fresh, clean air!!

R.C.: supporting your respiratory system, R.C. is effective in guarding against allergies, colds and flu. It supports deeper breathing and can be used as a compress over the chest and back. Just mix a few drops of R.C. with a carrier oil in the palm of your hand, rub into skin and breathe deeply. R.C. is great to diffuse when feeling congested, just add 2 drops R.C. to a diffuser alone or mix with 3 drops of Lavender.

Deep Relief: this is a roll-on by Young Living that provides a refreshing, cooling sensation when applied to the skin. Containing Lemon and Peppermint, Deep Relief will invigorate you for sure! Massage along your neck and shoulders for a pick-me-up, or rub onto temples when a tension headache catches you off guard. Once you try it, you’ll be reaching for this oil all the time to ease stressed and sore muscles.

Phew! That was a lot of information. But I hope you take away something new or something that sounds interesting to you and try it at home. Don’t be afraid to experiment.
